Growing up, I enjoyed drawing and painting. I took Three-Dimensional Design as a freshman in high school. The course not only introduced me to sculpture, a medium I immediately loved, but also to the idea that art-making is a valuable intellectual pursuit.

After high school, I attended Davidson College. I created sculptures, drawings, paintings and prints as a Studio Art major. I also led a successful two-year campaign to construct an outdoor, permanent labyrinth on campus.

I continued my post-secondary education at The University of Georgia, where my repertoire expanded to include performance and video art. I graduated with an M.F.A. in Sculpture in May 2012.

Currently, I teach high school studio art and art history courses at Fort Worth Country Day in Fort Worth, Texas.
